The following are free resources provided by DPAS for the benefit of industry.  They are provided without warranty; all use and behavior is responsibility of user, no obligation or liability to DPAS.  Feel free to contact us about any problems or improvements.

Paper machine simulator: A very simple simulation to demonstrate PLC and HMI programming to college students  using Rockwell Logix and Ignition HMI with Flintium objects
IEEE 745 Float Transmission by ModBus: This helps provide ModBus communication for floating point numbers

Inductive Automation (Ignition)

How to connect Inductive Automation “Ignition” to local Rockwell Emulate through OPC UA

Rockwell Logix 5000 Add On Instructions

The L5X files can be downloaded by selecting the button.  The L5X file can be imported into Logix.  These AOIs were developed in v21 of Logix.

Process Simulation: A Full Featured SISO Process Simulation, helpful for testing PID control.
Hysterisis: This AOI simulates the deadband in a valve when the direction of travel changes.
LDLGB: A bypassable lead/lag block
MidOf3: Selects the middle value of 3 numeric inputs.
Number Resolution: Rounds a numeric value based on the specified resolution.
Random Generator: A pseudo-random number generator
Root: Calculates the root of a number, handling negative inputs
Sin Generator: Generates a sin wave of a period specified in terms of number of scans of the task
Curve_Parabola: This is used to simulate a state-state gain of a parabolic (inverse) response
Curve pH: This is used to simulate a steady state gain of an approximate pH titration curve
Curve SQRT: This is used to simulate a steady state gain of a square root process
Curve Square: This is used to simulate a steady state gain of a squared (F[x]=x^2) process
New Alarm: Provide for recognition of new alarm for annunciator, with reset
CMD Select: Coordinate selection and command of equipment from different logic/sequences
